Before you know it, it will be summer and The Salvation Army’s Camp Paradise Valley in Burkesville, Kentucky will swing into session.

Summer camp is much more than a vacation for a week for young girls and boys.  These young lives will be changed forever.

At camp, children in need will have an opportunity to escape the hardships of their lives, to run and play, to be children.  They will make lasting friendships and develop character.  Their attitudes and behaviors will change, too, as they discover God’s love through daily Bible lessons.

At Camp Paradise Valley, kids leave lives of stress and trouble behind.  And, during that week, while they’re having the times of their lives swimming, hiking and socializing, they’re learning the important skills they need to make the right choices — to believe in themselves.  They will discover that each one is truly special, no matter what kinds of difficulties life has dealt them.

Please help send a child in need to camp, and open up a world where kids can be kids!
